Alright, everyone. It's Monday, so it's time for another edition of "It's Monday! What Are You Reading?" The meme is hosted by BookJourney. Each Monday, you get to share the book or books that you are today and during the rest of the week.
It's a holiday in the United States, so it's been a pretty laid back day here, and I've read just a little bit so far, but I plan on doing more reading as the day turns into the evening.
Last week, I was reading Cress by Marissa Meyer, and I'm still working on reading it. It's a pretty long book, and I've just been so busy that I haven't had a chance to finish it. It'll actually be the longest book I've read this year until I finish another one that I'm reading. I really hope I'll finish it by the end of the night. Right now, I only have about two hundred pages to go. So it's very possible that I wind up finishing it before the day is over.
I'm also reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I have a hardcover of it, and it's just so big that I don't take it from place to place, so I read a little bit before bed. I've kind of been neglecting it for a few days, but I'm going to make it a point to keep reading it because I'm enjoying it.
This week, I'm also going to start reading Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. I just got it in the mail last week, and I've been dying to get my fingers between the pages. I need to know what happens with these two new characters. And I need to finish it so I can move on to Isla and the Happily Ever After.
So that's what I'm reading this week. What are you reading this week? As always, feel free to leave a comment, and I'll be sure to reply. And feel more than welcome to leave a link to your post for the week so I can drop by and check it out.
Happy reading!
I love Cress:) I really need to find and read Anna, everyone is reading that series these days!
ReplyDeleteHere's my What are you reading?
I think it's my favorite so far.
DeleteI got lucky and found a copy of Anna and the French Kiss as I was getting ready to leave the YA section (basically a nook) at Half Price Books. Now they have a ton of the cute paperbacks. It's good, though. I hope you find a copy soon. It is one of those books that just kind of takes you out of a bad mood.
Still need to start The Lunar Chronicles....
ReplyDeleteI'm starting the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, which is so exciting!!!
Let me know if you ever read them. I'd love to see your thoughts on the books.
ReplyDeleteAnd I tried City of Bones. I couldn't get past the first few pages, and the whole time, I just kept thinking about all of her plagiarism so I put it down.
I've been reading a lot of rave reviews about Isla, but haven't read any of Stephanie Perkins' novels yet. Will check out some of the books you have here. :)
ReplyDeleteI only just started reading her books, and I love them. I can definitely see why she's so popular. The books are pretty awesome. :)
