Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Each Wednesday, we shine the spotlight on an upcoming release that we really, really, really want.
This week, I'm waiting on the sequel to To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. The sequel (and final book in the duo) is called P.S. I Still Love You.
If you've read the book, you were probably just as curious about the ending as I was. For a while, I thought I knew who the book would be about, but apparently, I was half wrong. I'm sure those of you who read the first book will be able to figure out who this second boy in Lara Jean's life will be.
Oh, Jenny Han, please don't break my heart again.
Anyways, there still isn't a cover for the book, but we do have a synopsis! (When the cover is revealed, I'll edit this post because it just looks so naked without one.)
Synopsis:
Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When
another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for
him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before,
we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love
is never easy, but maybe that’s part of makes it so amazing.
I wanted to read To All the Boys I've Loved Before for a while now. And I think I'm going to go and start reading right now :)

It's so good. A lot of people have complained about the narrator for being too immature for her age, but when you read her story, it makes a lot of sense as to why she's naive.
DeleteWhen you finish, let me know what you think either on here or on Goodreads (if you have an account). :-D
Oh man, I LOVED To All the Boys I've Loved Before!!! It's def my favorite contemporary of this year. I wrote a review of the book where I waxed poeticalsss: My Review. I'm dying to know what happens with Lara Jean and Peter....and the new guy. Do you think it's John Ambrose McClaren???

I'm so glad that you loved it too. I wrote a pretty positive review of it.
DeleteAnd I definitely think that John Ambrose McClaren is the new guy. I'm thinking that he moves back or something.
I've seen so many people loving To All the Boys I've Loved Before that I'm probably going to read it soon. I can't seem to like any contemporaries, so I really hope this one won't disappoint me. Here is my WoW: http://littlegingerbookangel.blogspot.com/2014/09/waiting-on-wednesday.html :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it. It's one of the best contemporaries I've read. I'm usually not a huge fan of contemporaries, but I'm am starting to like more and more of them.
DeleteIf you ever read it, let me know what you think of it.
I haven't read To All the Boys... yet :/ I need to get my hands on it! But it sounds so interesting.
ReplyDeleteOMG. It is so good. I think I've written quite a few posts that mention it.
DeleteI know that Target had a ton of them when it was first released, but I haven't seen copies in any Target for a while. I would think that it's getting close to a paperback release for it, but I'm sure Amazon and Barnes and Noble still have plenty left in stock.
I haven't read the first book yet, but I really want to. I had forgotten about it for a while, but after reading your thoughts on it, I'm excited about it again! It sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy about you being excited to read it. Whenever you finish it, drop by and let me know what you thought of it. :)
DeleteI loved To All the Boys I've Loved Before and I'm looking forward to read the sequel!!! I'm praying not to have another broken heart again because of Jenny Han :(
ReplyDeleteI hope I can get my hands on it on release day. I need it now.
