See, I liked the story itself (and I did like the characters, which is why it was higher for me), but the connection to the actual "What if?" concept weren't there! Because Fiona didn't even really KNOW that the question was asked? I think if you like the characters, it is still a decent read, though it doesn't deliver on the ultimate question. If you don't like the characters (like you didn't), then I assume it was pretty painful to read!
