Aside from books, I love some other things. I'm a huge Disney fan, and I'll often buy Disney movies once a month or so. I also have an extensive collection of Disney collectibles. I'm also a big fan of glitter and glittery things. Polka dots are another thing that I love.
Now... back to the books. I'm sure you can guess from the title of my blog that my personal library is full of hardcover books. I absolutely love them.
I've been a voracious reader my whole life, so I decided to take that love of reading with me to college. I took a bunch of literature classes (well... I kind of had to because I was an English major), and I finally discovered YA during either my junior or senior year. It's kind of hard to believe that I never really explored the genre before then, but I was always an advanced reader as a kid, and read adult books. While I'm not working, I read, and for me, that means a whole summer of reading! Since taking a YA class in college, I've been exploring the genre more and more.
On this blog, you'll find a wide variety of books. There will be YA (contemporary, dystopia, romance, mystery, science fiction, etc.), Adult Fiction (contemporary, romance, mystery, etc.), and occasionally children's literature.
My favorite authors include but are not limited to:
- Rainbow Rowell
- Veronica Roth
- Eric Carle
- Lauren Oliver
- Sarah Ockler
- Stephen Chbosky
- Jesse Andrews
- Marissa Meyer
If you are an author or publisher interested in a review, please read my review policy before sending a review request. You will also be able to see a list of titles I've reviewed in the past (with links to the reviews).
I see that one of your favourite writers is Veronica Roth and I've been debating for a while now whether or not to read Divergent. I read, and hated, The Hunger Games so I've been fairly hesitant to read more YA dystopian since that. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI love Veronica Roth! I actually enjoyed the Divergent trilogy a little bit more than The Hunger Games just because I liked her world building a bit more. A lot of people say that Divergent is the only good book in the trilogy, but I really liked all three of them and the collection of short stories.
DeleteI hope this helps! I don't want to spoil you with anything more. :)
