The 2016 Love-a-Thon is hosted by Alexa from Alexa Loves Books, Cee from The Novel Hermit, Hazel from Stay Bookish, and Mel from The Daily Prophecy.
This annual event is all about spreading love and positivity in the book community. There have been special blog posts, Twitter chats, and challenges.
One mini-challenge - Book Bingo - included a square about dedicating a post to some of your favorite blogs, authors, Bookstagrammers, or BookTubers. Today, I'm writing three letters to three of my favorite bloggers and friends.
Letters to Friends
Okay... so it's kind of hard to believe that you and I have been friends for almost two years now, right? I'm so glad that I followed you back in 2014, and after all this time, you've become such a close and good friend to me.
I love our little chats that we have most every day with Tika on Twitter and Voxer. I love that I can ask ridiculous questions to you, and you don't judge me. I love how even though we have different tastes in books, we can still talk about everything!
Also, I'm so grateful to you. You've made my blog so gorgeous. When I go to check out the formatting of a post or reply to comments, I just stare at the beautiful theme that you created for me. I don't know how you did it because I didn't really give you a lot to go on other than messy water color, but you captured me and bottled it up for everyone to see. I love it, and I cannot thank you enough.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll get to talking again in a few hours on Twitter like we always do, but I just wanted you to know how much I love and appreciate your friendship. You're the best!
I don't know where I'd be without you!
Whenever I have a question about blogging, or the bookish world, you're my go-to person for the answer. I know that you'll answer me honestly or that you'll try to the best of your abilities to help me out.
I also love the fact that you're so willing to help out others. Whether it was the time that you helped me edit a resume and cover letter or just checking in on others in the community, you're there for people with a caring heart. That, my friend, is truly priceless.
I also love your blog because it's so different from so many of the other blogs that I follow. You have a lot of interesting features, but your reviews are so different. I love going to your blog and seeing a wonderful mix of everything from children's literature to YA. Plus I always have a list of new kid's books for my aunt to get for her classroom after every visit.
Tika, Tika, Tika, my fellow Leo sister! I think I've been following you from the beginning, but for the life of me, I don't really remember how our little friendship started.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm so glad that we've become friends over the past two years, and I cannot believe that we'll both be celebrating our two year blogiversarys this summer. Like where did the time go?
You've become one of my best friends over during the time that I've been blogging, and I know I can always count on you. You've read through so many of my posts before they've went live, given me the names of new authors and books I should be reading, and most of all, you've made me laugh with all of your crazy stories.
Our friendship means the world to me, and I just wanted to let you know that I think you're adorable in a bad ass way! I love how you're always standing up for yourself and what's right. You've definitely made me a much stronger blogger and person in the time that I've known you.
I love you like a sister!
