Waiting on Wednesday (33)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme created and hosted by Jill at her blog, Breaking the Spine. The meme helps bloggers and readers spotlight the upcoming releases that we are dying to read.

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that Waiting on Wednesday is one of my favorite memes because I just love sharing all the beautiful books that are going to be in the world one day.

The rules for participating in Waiting on Wednesday are pretty easy to follow:
  • Create your own Waiting on Wednesday post that features an upcoming title (or titles)
  • Be sure to credit Jill in your post
  • Link up to the Linky on Jill's blog

What I'm Waiting On...

Title: See How They Run
Series: Embassy Row
Author: Ally Carter
Publisher: Scholastic Press
Publication Date: January 5, 2016
Inside every secret, there's a world of trouble. Get ready for the second book in this new series of global proportions--from master of intrigue, New York Times bestselling author Ally Carter.

Grace's past has come back to hunt her . . . and if she doesn't stop it, Grace isn't the only one who will get hurt. Because on Embassy Row, the countries of the world stand like dominoes, and one wrong move can make them all fall down.

The twists get twistier and the turns get even more shocking in the second thrilling installment of Embassy Row.

Why I'm Waiting...

I was lucky enough to have an ARC of All Fall Down sent to me late last year, and I was immediately able to see why Ally Carter is so popular among the YA crowd. Her writing is fun and easy to follow, and All Fall Down was a rather enjoyable read for me. I'm obviously excited for this one because I just need to find out what happens next after that ending. Plus I need to figure out what's going to happen with the possible romances in this one.

What Are You Waiting On...

Here's the part where I leave it up to you, my lovely readers. Are you an Ally Carter fanatic who's also hoping to get your hands on a copy of this book when it hits shelves in January? Or are you waiting on a different book this week? As always, feel free to let me know in the comments by either telling me what book or books you're waiting on or by leaving a link to your own Waiting on Wednesday post.

  1. Ally Carter books have not worked for me previously and I don't know how much I'll like this, but I'm looking forward to your thoughts once you read it! A book I'm waiting for would be Queen of Shadows and I just scraped out what's left of my allowance and pre-ordered it. I'm broke BUT YAY BOOKS.

  2. Great choice! I loved All Fall Down. The ending totally blew my mind in a "what just happened, I'm so confused" way but I cannot wait to continue this series. I also need to know what happens next.

  4. I'm due for a reread of All Fall Down, especially with the finished copy so I can see if anything changed. But yes... I need to know what happened after that ending! OMG.

  5. All Fall Down was my first Ally Carter book, and it wasn't bad. It read a little young for YA for me, but I enjoyed the pacing and the story.

I've been seeing Queen of Shadows on a lot of wish lists lately! I hope you enjoy it. :)

  8. It got a little bit of publicity, but not nearly as much as I thought it would, considering it's an Ally Carter series. The first one was good, though. :)

  9. EEEP! I sent in a request for it a few weeks ago, and I would love to get this one early too! Waiting until January is just too long, especially because it will make it over a year since I read the first one.
