Top Ten Tuesday (18)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created and hosted by the bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish. They created the meme because they love making and sharing lists. Well that's just one thing that I have in common with them because list making is essential to my life.

Every week, there is a new topic for Top Ten Tuesday, and all you have to do is create your top ten list (or somewhere around ten if you can't think of ten) based on it. Oh, and be sure to link back to The Broke and the Bookish! Then you can add your name to the link up tool that they include in their post!

Please don't hate me... this is my first TTT since January! I've really been meaning to participate more often. I just had so many ARCs to read, and since I post ARC reviews a week before the book is released, I felt like I'd be overloading you with posts.

Now... it's time to list those books!

Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List:

I used this list to compile my choices for this week's TTT. These are the books that I really want to read this spring, but realistically, I know I will probably only get to half of them. I still have winter releases to get to!
I do have ARCs for a few of these titles (and other June titles), so look out for reviews.
  1. The Heir by Kiera Cass
  2. Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
  3. The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
  4. P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
  5. The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver
  6. 99 Days by Katie Cotugno
  7. Love, Fortunes, and Other Disasters by Kimberly Karalius
  8. Immaculate by Katelyn Detweiler
  9. Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby
  10. Devoted by Jennifer Mathieu

  1. Great list. I haven’t read any of these, but I hope you enjoy them. I’ve been seeing P.S. I Still Love You on a lot of top ten lists today. I might have to read that one.

    1. I haven't read any of them yet, either, but I did start The Start of Me and You today. My copy of Vanishing Girls should be here any minute, so that will be read soon too.

Have you read To All the Boys I've Loved Before? I can't wait to see what Lara Jean does in P.S. I Still Love You.

    1. I'm liking The Start of Me and You so far, and I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of The Secrets We Keep. It's an ARC that I really wanted, but I didn't get approved. Oh well. I'll read it when it comes out. :)

  3. I wish I could finish the selection series but I got spoiled and now I'm being a grump about it. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Ghost Bird stores that comes out in April but that's about it!

    1. OMG. I hate when people spoil books and series for others. It's just so unfair to the people who really want to find out on their own.

I've never heard of the Ghost Bird series.

    2. The Ghost Bird series ruins other romantic series for a long time. It has poisoned my mind...in a good way

    3. Oh. I might have to check it out then.

    4. Hope you're ok with reverse harems! Why choose one boy when you can have them all?

    5. Is it anime? I've never really read anime before, but I'm always willing to give everything at least one chance. lol

    6. It's not anime/manga but it is inspired by a trend in both. Apparently there is a lack of reverse harem traditional literature! Shocking.

I have a review up on my blog and it's definitely not realistic writing but they are sort of addicting. One girl and nine guys that she is desperate to remain friends with because she is completely alone. It's like soap opera books. The first two books cover less than two weeks time but they are short and you could read them in an afternoon. They take a while to get going but you get sort of attached to the boys. C.L. Stone is a prolific writer with over 20 books planned for this series and another series going with the same goals. She puts out a book every 3-4 months so she keeps you on her line.

If you're interested in reverse harem manga/anime, I can give you some recommendations!

  5. Oh I haven't read any on your list so I will be no help to you. But I do really want to read Things We Know By Heart, which I heard very good things about :)

    1. It's okay. I went with new releases instead of backlisted books. I have a list of those too. lol

Things We Know By Heart looks amazing. I need to get a copy of it. lol

  8. Great list! I'm going to try and avoid new releases this year if I can and tackle some of the ones I already own. I just read The Selection last month and enjoyed it, I have to find the second one now. :)

    1. I should probably do that one of these years. I might dedicate a month to it (and ARCs) just to cut down on my TBR pile.

I loved The Selection trilogy, and I'm excited for the two new spin-offy books.

  9. Yay!! I'm glad you're back to TTT :) You've got some great books to look forward to, lady! I've been reading a lot about the Jenny Han release, I can't wait to read your review! You've got such good reading to look forward to!

    1. I'm trying to do more of them. Sometimes I forget or just don't have anything to say about the topic. lol

I am so excited for Jenny Han's book. I loved the first one, and I'm so anxious to see what happens in this book!

  10. I am so happy that you are continuing Top Ten Tuesday! I love reading your lists!
I want to read a lot of the books on your list (especially 99 Days and Vanishing Girls). But, I still have so many books to read, even winter releases. I am totally slacking on blogging and reading lately and everything keeps piling up, especially my TBR.
I hope you get to read these books soon!

    1. Yay! I'll definitely need to schedule a few of them ahead of time so I don't forget, but I did miss doing the posts. I'm so behind of reading too. I was planning on reading all of the Pretty Little Liars books, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to. :(

  11. Ah, basically all of these are on my list except for #1 (though I have the rest of the regular novels), #7 (I haven't heard too much about it) and #8 (same as 7.

I pre-ordered TSoMaY so I can't wait to read it and I have an arc (eventually) coming of Devoted. One of my highest anticipated releases. I have E-ARCS of 99 Days and TWKBH that I need to read soon.

    Great list, Erin.

    1. I was a bit unsure about The Heir, but I really want to meet this new princess and see how things have changed.

I'm reading TSoMaY right now, and it's pretty good so far! I tried so hard to get an eARC of 99 Days, but I keep getting declined. I don't know what I need to do to make Harper like me. I have an ARC of Devoted, so I'll be reading that one soon! I'm so excited for it.

  12. Most of the books here are on my TBR List, but my priority is The Heir by Kiera Cass and P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han. I am very excited for these two because well, it's an agony to wait for the sequels and my anticipation is just... ugh. I have to get my hands on them.

Awesome list you have here Erin.

    1. Hi, Beatrice!

It's so awesome that we have a lot of these books in common. I definitely had a lot more that I could have added, and limiting it was so hard!

But yes... The Heir is definitely one of my priorities for this spring! I am counting down the days until my copy gets here! At least with this one, it's a new story, so it's like discovering something new. :)
