So what do you need to do?
- Go to page 56 (or 56%) of the book you're currently reading
- Copy down and share a few sentences with your blog's readers, but be sure not to spoil anything major
- Add your name to the link-up on Freda's blog
I was pleasantly surprised to find song lyrics on page 56 of this book because I pretty much am obsessed with music and lyrics. I'm including the lyrics along with a short passage from the book.
Oh, you know I'm only human;
I bend and fall and break.
You cut me and I bleed;
I'm a mess for you to make.
So forget the words and give me deeds;
My heart was yours to take.
"'What are you listening to?' she asks when I remove my headphones. She narrows her eyes at me, and I feel as if I've been caught in a personal moment."
Oh, I love that book! I'm excited to see your thoughts on it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking it so far, and I'll definitely be posting a review for it. :)
DeleteI love lyrics too because essentially they are poetry. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
That is exactly why I love lyrics! I love poetry, and I definitely need to start getting more poetry in my library. I have British and American literature anthologies, but I want specific books.
DeleteHave a great weekend, Freda! :)
The lyrics are lovely and I want to know why the listener felt they'd been disturbed in a personal moment? Was it because the lyrics brought back a memory?
ReplyDeleteIf I Loved You. is my offering for this week.
I loved these lyrics, and I really wish that the songs existed so I could actually listen to them. :)
