Every week, there is a new topic for Top Ten Tuesday, and all you have to do is create your top ten list (or somewhere around ten) based on it. Oh, and be sure to link back to The Broke and the Bookish! Then you can add your name to the link up tool that they include in their post!
Ten Books I'd Love to Read With My Book Club If I Had A Book Club:
It's no secret that fantasy and adventure novels are some of my least read books. I sometimes get distracted when I'm reading them, and that reading them with a group would help encourage me to want to read more in this genre. I've read and loved some of these books, but others scare me. Still I want to get to a place where I feel completely comfortable opening a title like one of these on my own.
Yep, I'm definitely joining your book club! I want to read all of those! Some just because they have a pretty cover (The Winner's Curse!), but the rest for legitimate reasons! And re-reading Harry Potter is always a good idea
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT if you're interested: https://victoriajaynesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/01/27/top-ten-tuesday-8/
I so should start (or at least join) a book club!
DeleteI so need to get on re-reading Harry Potter. I keep promising myself that I will, and I am going to work so hard to make it happen this year. :)
Fantasy books are some of my all time favourites (like Harry Potter and the Winner's crime which you featured) so I'd definitely join your hypothetical book club! I also get what you mean about being more encouraged in a group, that's why I love buddy reads/read a longs :)

It takes a lot for me to actually pick up a fantasy book - not because I don't enjoy them, but I just like to take longer to read them. I feel like talking about them after I read them is the best for me, and that's what all the book clubs around here do - assign a book, and then they all talk about it at the end. lol
DeleteSign me up for your book club! I love many of these books and I really want to read the rest of them. I especially cannot wait to read Court of Thorns and Roses and Zodiac.
ReplyDeleteGreat List!
Tessa @ Crazy for YA
Maybe I'll make it a monthly feature on my blog!
DeleteZodiac is so so so so so good! Like woah good. I literally needed more the instant I finished that one.
A Thousand Pieces of You was so great because it was different! I loved the science fiction aspects. And where can you go wrong really with Harry Potter? Great picks!
ReplyDeleteI've heard both amazing and not so amazing things about A Thousand Pieces of You, so I'm definitely interested in reading it.
DeleteHarry Potter Forever! lol
I need to be in your book club. All of these books, save Harry Potter (HP FTW! :D) are on my TBR list. I bought The Winner's Curse recently, though, and I can't wait to start it. I'm also seriously anticipating Red Queen and ACOTAR, I'm hoping they'll be good. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteClaire @ Cover to Cover
I really need to make this book club a thing then! lol
DeleteI feel like HP should be read in any book club. I just bought The Winner's Curse, and I'm going to try to get to it before the sequel comes out. We'll have to talk about Red Queen soon! :)
One of the choices for my book club's pick this month is A Thousand Pieces of You and I really hope that's what we end up reading because I have been dying to start this one!

We're reading it right now in one of the group's I mod for on Goodreads. I don't have it yet, but I'll have to read it soon. It looks like something I really, really want to read. lol
DeleteWhat a great list :D If you ever make a book club, I'm in! Hehe
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely post on here if I ever make one, but feel free to join All About YA (link's in the sidebar). We do monthly reads and series reads.
DeleteAhhh I would love to read Red Queen if ONLY IT WERE OUT NOW!
ReplyDeleteRight? Only two more weeks!
DeleteFrom your list I have not read a single book apart from Harry Potter (which I am not too invested in reading again) and A Thousand Pieces of You which I would love to reread. I think I would be the first one to sign up to your book club for sure! I love your choices.
ReplyDeleteOMG. I read Harry Potter not too long ago, it it's one of those books that I know I'll revisit time and time again. I haven't read A Thousand Pieces of You, but I am kind of afraid to now that I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but I still want to give it a chance.
DeleteThanks, Olivia! :)
