Soundtrack Saturday (6)

Hey there, everyone! It's time for another Soundtrack Saturday. Soundtrack Saturday is a meme that I created so I can share my love of books and music. It can be done a few different ways. You can either make a mini-book soundtrack that includes four songs, or you can be super creative and make a full playlist as your soundtrack. You can even create album art if you're great with graphics. It's always so much fun to see what everyone does with the meme.

So what do you have to do to participate in Soundtrack Saturday, right? It's kind of like any other meme, so there are a few rules.
  • You can use my image or make one of your own.
  • Please link me somewhere in your post.
  • Create a soundtrack for your chosen book.
  • Add your name to the link-up tool so others can find and read your post.
  • Leave a comment on my blog post.
Also, thank you for being patient with me as I recover from being pretty sick. As I type this, I'm propped up on a heating pad to comfort my back from all the coughing I've done in the past two weeks. You can imagine that I haven't been the happiest person in the world with all of this pain. I really want to thank all of you who keep coming back to post, even if I post mine later in the day.

Last week's post focused on Gayle Forman's If I Stay, so it feels right to give the sequel, Where She Went, some recognition in Soundtrack Saturday. I love that the books are heavily influenced by music, so they are perfect picks for my meme. I only wish that the lyrics in Where She Went were real so I could hear them, but for now... I'll make up my own book soundtrack.

I've been wanting to make a full playlist since I started the meme, but I wanted to start slowly. This week, I'm finally getting all of my creative juices flowing to bring you my Soundtrack Saturday for Where She Went.

"Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson
"More Heart, Less Attack" by NEEDTOBREATHE
"There She Goes" by The La's
"Chandelier" by Sia
"Vagabond" by MisterWives
"Still Ain't Over You" by Rob Thomas
"I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons
"Shattered (Turn the Car Around)" by O.A.R.
"Still Into You" by Paramore
"All Too Well" by Taylor Swift
"Brave" by Sara Bareilles
"We'll Be a Dream" by We the Kings feat. Demi Lovato
"She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5

As always, feel free to let me know what you think in the comments. I'd love to know what you think of my picks and the songs in general.

      1. Thank you! I'm getting there, but I'm just so tired from being so sick and the cough refuses to go away. Definitely not a fun combination.

And thank you! I liked the old design, but I was never really over-the-moon ecstatic about it. This one is definitely more me.

And "She Will Be Loved" is my go to song when I want to sing something at the top of my lungs. lol

      2. Did you design it or was it pre-made? Hahah, yes, it is the best song for that!

      3. It was premade. There is no way I'd ever attempt making my own without Photoshop. Plus I'd have no idea how to code it. lol

      4. Well, it looks pretty nonetheless :)

    2. Get well soon, Erin! I love your choice of songs- at least, the ones I know. I haven't done a full soundtrack for today, but I'll do one next week. :D

      1. Thanks, Rose!

I did have a good mix of songs this week. I was going through my music library, and so many of them just seemed perfect.

I'm on my way to check out your post right now! Thanks for joining in on the fun.

    3. I tried to write a comment before but something strange happened and I don't think it went through, so I'm typing this up again :) This is such a great idea! I am a big fan of music as well, so I'll definitely be participating in this starting maybe next Saturday (too busy today). Great list! And I still need to read those books!

      1. That is strange. I know I had to put a verification code on it again because some porn site was spamming my review for Isla and the Happily Ever After, but no one has told me their comments weren't going through! Oh no. But it's been happening to me on other Blogger blogs as of recently, so it could be a bug.

And awesome! I love to hear when more people want to join in!

The books are great. I hope you get to read them soon. :)

      2. Haha, I hate when porn sites do that. By the way, I wanted to let you know I just listened to "Vagabond" by MisterWives, and I love it :) Hadn't heard that one before.

      3. Right? It's so annoying. I'm hoping that the verification thing keeps them away.

And I love "Vagabond!" It's also the theme song for Finding Carter on MTV. It's such a cool sounding song.
