Waiting on Wednesday (77)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly, bookish meme created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The meme helps book bloggers and readers shine a spotlight on some of the many upcoming releases that we are all patiently (but most likely impatiently) waiting on. Get it? You can find out more information on the meme on her blog, Breaking the Spine.

So you're interested in sharing some of the books you're waiting on with your readers!? That's great! To participate in Jill's meme, all you need to do is:

  • Create your own Waiting on Wednesday post that features an upcoming title (or titles)
  • Be sure to credit Jill in your post

Waiting On...

Title: Two by Two
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Publisher: Grand Central Publishing
Publication Date: October 4, 2016

At 32, Russell Green has it all: a stunning wife, a lovable six year-old daughter, a successful career as an advertising executive and an expansive home in Raleigh. He is living the dream, and his marriage to the bewitching Vivian is the center of that. But underneath the shiny surface of this perfect existence, fault lines are beginning to appear...and no one is more surprised than Russ when he finds every aspect of the life he took for granted turned upside down. In a matter of months, Russ finds himself without a job or wife, caring for his young daughter while struggling to adapt to a new and baffling reality. Throwing himself into the wilderness of single parenting, Russ embarks on a journey at once terrifying and rewarding-one that will test his abilities and his emotional resources beyond anything he ever imagined.

Why I'm Waiting...

Okay... So I'm taking a step away from YA and Middle Grade for this week's Waiting on Wednesday, but I've been reading and enjoying a lot of Nicholas Sparks' books since I was twelve years old. Honestly, I haven't read one of his books in a few years because of the repetitive plotlines, but Two by Two actually looks like it's going to be charmingly original. And besides... I'm a sucker for a book about a father and his daughter.

I'm really hoping that Nicholas Sparks' soon to be bestseller (because come on... he is Nicholas Sparks and always sells books!) is as good as I'm hoping it is because I'm ordering a copy as soon as possible.

What Are You Waiting On...
