Top Ten Tuesday (16)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created and hosted by the bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish. The meme was created because they love making and sharing bookish lists with their readers. That's good news for me because I also love making lists as a way to organize things going on my life and the books that I've read or am dying to read!

Every week, there is a new topic for Top Ten Tuesday, and all you have to do is create your top ten list (or somewhere around ten) based on it. Oh, and be sure to link back to The Broke and the Bookish! Then you can add your name to the link up tool that they include in their post!

Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

I own a few of the books in the above picture, and I'm going to read those ones first (The Kiss of Deception and What I thought Was True). Some of them are books are ones that I wanted to buy but never did because of book buying ban. I'll definitely be reading and reviewing in most of these in 2015, especially because there are some sequels coming out this year.

So what are the top ten 2014 books that you wanted to read but didn't get to? As always, feel free to let me know in the comments. Happy reading!

    1. Right? I spent so much money on books last year, but it's going to be different this year. I'm going to try to buy only a few at a time instead of huge hauls. We'll see how long it lasts.

  2. I wanted to read The Kiss of Deception so badly but oh, so many books got in the way. I'm gonna try and read it this year though since the sequel is coming out. I'll Give You the Sun has been getting so much love in the book community and I'm intrigued to see what all the fuss is about but I might wait until Summer to read it when I feel the urge for contemporaries. The same applies to Since You've Been Gone

    1. I tried to start The Kiss of Deception two weeks ago, but then I got all sorts of ARCs that I wanted to read before their respective publication dates. I am going to get to it soon, though. I have been eyeing since I bought it in August. lol

I'll Give You the Sun is definitely going to be a read I take to camp with me. I think it'll be good for sitting on the lake.

I still haven't read anything by Morgan Matson or her pen name. I am going to though. I've heard nothing but amazing things about her books.

    1. OMG, Tessa. I am so behind too. I cannot wait until summer when I can just check out and read for hours upon hours. This will be the summer that I attempt to read everything. lol

    1. I actually just ordered it! The hardcover is $3.99 on Book Outlet. The Kiss of Deception does look long. I have a copy sitting on my desk.

I'm going to be catching up on 2014 releases this year. There weren't a lot of 2015 releases that really interested me, except for a few.

  6. Ditto on ALL of the books! Except for Lies My Girlfriend Tole Me. I actually did read that one. It was okay. The audiobook made the main character very whiny. I'd be interested to see your thoughts if you actually read it instead of listen to the audio!

    1. I can't do audiobooks. I have a hard time getting into them, and I like being able to hear the voices in my head for myself. I'll definitely post a review of it if I read it.

  7. Some of these books are on my list, too, but I read Since You've Been Gone (LOVED IT!) and What I Thought Was True (also liked but not as much as Huntley Fitzpatrick's first novel), and I hope you get to them soon! :)

    1. I still have to get a copy of Since You've Been Gone, but it looks great! I'm so glad that you liked it! :)

I have another Huntley book too - I think it's My Life Next Door. My sister read it right after I bought it and loved it, so I'm hoping that I like them too.
