Hello, and Happy Weekend to all of you Hardcover Lover readers! I know I forgot to post a Soundtrack Saturday last week, and I apologize for that. I've just been really, really busy.
Although I'm busy at work all day again today, I was sure to create a Soundtrack Saturday post ahead of time for you all to enjoy.
In case you're new to The Hardcover Lover, Soundtrack Saturday is a weekly feature
that I started to share playlists with my readers. There's a catch,
though. All of my playlists are based on books that I've read!
As with all bookish memes, there are a few easy steps to follow to help you create your own perfect Soundtrack Saturday post:
- Choose a book that you've read or are currently reading - any book is fine!
- Create a mini (four songs) or full soundtrack (ten-fifteen songs) for that book based on characters and plot details
- For more detailed instructions, please visit the meme's homepage.
- Please credit me somewhere in your post
- It can be as simple as "Soundtrack Saturday was created by Erin at The Hardcover Lover."
- Leave a comment on my blog post if you enjoy the feature
- Add your name to the link-up tool at the bottom of the post
This week, I bring you a playlist inspired by Huntley Fitzpatrick's sophomore YA novel, What I Thought Was True. Be sure to look for my review of the book early next week. (And as a bonus feature... a review of Huntley's upcoming book, The Boy Most Likely To, will be making an appearance on my blog too!)
1. "Everybody Talks" by Neon TreesSo... What do you think of my book soundtrack for What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick? Do you like my song choices? Would you add other songs to the list? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
2. Whyyawannabringmedown" by Kelly Clarkson
3. "Hideaway" by Daya
4. "Hell Raisin' Heat of the Summer" by Florida Georgia Line
5. "Anything Could Happen" by Ellie Goulding
6. "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten
7. "I Really Like You" by Carly Ray Jepsen
8. "Fly" by Maddie & Tay
9. "Photograph" by Ed Sheeran
10. "Fearless" by Taylor Swift
11. "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional
And if you've made a Soundtrack Saturday playlist this week, be sure to add your link to the InLinkz tool at the bottom of the post! I'd love to see what books you're all reading and the songs you're thinking of when you read them!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
