Okay. I know I promised myself that I was in the middle of a book buying ban because I have way too many books on my TBR pile right now, but I broke it today.
I went to Half Price Books with my sister to get Isla and the Happily Ever After, and I noticed that Flawless (Pretty Little Liars #2) was on clearance for $2. I've been there so much recently that I knew there were a ton of the Pretty Little Liars books in the YA section. So what did I do? I grabbed them all!
Books I Purchased Today:
- Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
- Flawless by Sara Shepard
- Perfect by Sara Shepard
- Unbelievable by Sara Shepard
- Wicked by Sara Shepard
- Killer by Sara Shepard
- Heartless by Sara Shepard
- Twisted by Sara Shepard
- Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
Good luck with Pll--it's a long one. I gave up and just decided that watching the show was enough for me LOL I can't wait to hear what you think!
ReplyDeleteI read the first one a while ago, and I really liked it, so I planned on reading all of them. Then more and more came out, and I heard it was because ABC Family kind of forced her into writing eight more books. I know it'll probably take me a while to find them, but the first one was a pretty quick read for me.
DeleteI'm just reading Anna and the French Kiss now, I didn't think I would like it but I really do! haha I will probably pick up Lola and Isla at some point too. I have never read the PLL books. I absolutely love the show, and I feel like the books would kind of be ruined for me now if that makes sense? I would be picturing the characters the way they are on the show and I like to imagine them for myself when I read. Enjoy them :)

I watch the show religiously, but it didn't really bother me when I read the first one. There are enough differences (from what I've researched) that I'm sure I will like the rest of the books. But the colors of the book covers brighten up my room so much.
DeleteI did picture all of the girls as the girls who played them except for Emily. She is different in my head. Very different.
Wow, nice haul! I've always thought about picking up the PLL series, but there are like five hundred books (okay, fine, more like fifteen...), which kind of scared me off, haha. The show is available for me to watch on Netflix, but I haven't gotten around to it yet (and I'm secretly also a little afraid; I handle scary books way better than scary movies/shows). I hope you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI like the show. I don't really think of it as scary, but it does have some scary moments. A lot of it is predicable.
DeleteThe first book was good, so I'm hoping the rest of the series is too.
They look so pretty! I don't think I've read Dreamland by Sarah Dessen but I used to love her when I was younger!
ReplyDeleteThey are seriously so bright. They make my room look one hundred times more inviting because of the pop of color.
DeleteI've never read anything by Sarah Dessen. My sister used to read her all the time, but had never read that book. Her friend talks about it a lot, so when she saw it was on the clearance shelves, we grabbed it.
If you're reading the PLL series I'm not sure if you saw the tv show...? If you haven't, you should totally watch it when u complete the series. I think the adaptation is flawlessly put together. I really want to get into Sarah Dessen books, but I'm not much of a contemporary kind of girl. Enjoy your pics :D

I've been watching the show since it came out, but I've been wanting to read the books since way before then.
DeleteI've never read Dessen. It's more for my sister because she's read all of her books except that one. I wouldn't mind reading her books though. They all seem pretty good.
I love the pll books so much :)
ReplyDeleteI still haven't gotten to them, but I read and loved the first one. I'm hoping to get started on the rest of them soon. :)
