This is my first time participating in Stacking the Shelves. I hope to be able to participate often, and when I do, my Stacking the Shelves posts will be posted on Saturdays or Sundays.
I added a lot of books to my shelves this week. A lot. Okay... well maybe not a lot, but quite a few books were added to my shelves this week. I placed book orders through Book Outlet and Amazon, and both packages arrived on my porch this week.
These are the books that I've added to my shelves this week:
- Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
- Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
- The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
- Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
- Every Day by David Levithan
- Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
- Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
- The F- It List by Julie Halpern
- Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
- Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne
I've been interested in reading Open Road Summer, Every Day, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, and Meant To Be. I actually own Every Day, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'm in the middle of reading Lola. It looks like you got some good books. :) Bookoutlet's so amazing.
ReplyDeleteAmber - I'm excited to read these. I think I'm going to read Lola after I finish Scarlet. I just need some more Stephanie Perkins.
ReplyDeleteBook Outlet can be good. I got really upset with them over this order, but I'll see later how I feel about ordering from them again.
Book Outlet is probably the most inexpensive and efficient way to buy books. I just love it ;D
ReplyDeleteI hope you really enjoy Tuck Everlasting because I loved that book. Been wanting to read Kiss of Deception... maybe I'll just get it next week of something. Great haul! :D
Alex @ The Book's Buzz
Yay you got Lola! I hope you like it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about participating in this too but I'm going to do it next week (when I actually get any books).
Alex - I love Tuck Everlasting. I just never had a copy of my own so I got a paperback for rereading purposes until I can find a better copy.
ReplyDeleteAnna - I know! There were only six left on Amazon, so I grabbed it.
The I had fun with this, but I am going to change it up a little the next time I do it. I didn't take pictures of the books, but I might do that for next time.
I really enjoyed Girls with White Dresses. I hope you enjoy it! I've also been eyeing the F-it list. Great haul! :)
ReplyDeleteJazmen- I've been wanting to read Girls in White Dresses since before it came out, but I just never wanted to pay for it. I got it on the cheap, so I'm excited to finally be able to read it. I'll let you know what I think of The F- It List. And thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of great books. I really enjoyed Midnight Thief and hope you do as well. Kiss of Deception was amazing. I hope you love it as well.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Grace - Awesome. I won a copy of Midnight Thief, and it's something that I wouldn't have picked up on my own. I'm still on the fence about The Kiss of Deception, but it seems like it might be something I like. I'm in a taste-test mood with books at the moment.
ReplyDeleteTuck Everlasting!!! That book has been on my mind a lot lately. I read it way back in 1996. I sadly gave away my copy. I thoroughly enjoyed that book. I seriously need to read it again. You got Lola!!! Yay now we can both read it. I'm excited to read Meant To Be also. I think these next few months are going to be awesome reading.
ReplyDeleteAngie - I think I read it in like 2002 or 2003, but I really don't remember. I was jealous that my sister got to read it in sixth grade because I didn't and I was only a grade ahead of her. Like so jealous that I borrowed her school copy and read it in an hour.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! I did get Lola. We should Buddy Read it and Meant to Be for the group. I've never done a Buddy Read Before. lol
Welcome to Stacking the Shelves! This is my favorite meme. It's fun to look at bloggers' book hauls. I really liked Lola and Meant to Be. I haven't read any of the others, but most are on my TBR. I hope you enjoy them! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's been my favorite one to look at since before I even got a blog, but I just didn't really understand it until I did a little more research.
DeleteMy sister actually stole Meant to Be from me today, so it might be a bit before I get it back. I'm so ready to start Lola so I can get to Isla.
