Stacking the Shelves (1)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly book meme created and hosted by Tynga at Tynga's Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you've added to your shelves throughout the week. Books can be either physical books or e-books. The books can be books that you've purchased, borrowed, or received for review or as a gift.

This is my first time participating in Stacking the Shelves. I hope to be able to participate often, and when I do, my Stacking the Shelves posts will be posted on Saturdays or Sundays.

I added a lot of books to my shelves this week. A lot. Okay... well maybe not a lot, but quite a few books were added to my shelves this week. I placed book orders through Book Outlet and Amazon, and both packages arrived on my porch this week.

These are the books that I've added to my shelves this week:
  • Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
  • Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
  • The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
  • Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
  • Every Day by David Levithan
  • Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
  • Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
  • The F- It List by Julie Halpern
  • Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
  • Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne

  1. I've been interested in reading Open Road Summer, Every Day, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, and Meant To Be. I actually own Every Day, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'm in the middle of reading Lola. It looks like you got some good books. :) Bookoutlet's so amazing.

  2. Amber - I'm excited to read these. I think I'm going to read Lola after I finish Scarlet. I just need some more Stephanie Perkins.

Book Outlet can be good. I got really upset with them over this order, but I'll see later how I feel about ordering from them again.

  3. Book Outlet is probably the most inexpensive and efficient way to buy books. I just love it ;D

I hope you really enjoy Tuck Everlasting because I loved that book. Been wanting to read Kiss of Deception... maybe I'll just get it next week of something. Great haul! :D

  5. Alex - I love Tuck Everlasting. I just never had a copy of my own so I got a paperback for rereading purposes until I can find a better copy.

Anna - I know! There were only six left on Amazon, so I grabbed it.
The I had fun with this, but I am going to change it up a little the next time I do it. I didn't take pictures of the books, but I might do that for next time.

  7. Jazmen- I've been wanting to read Girls in White Dresses since before it came out, but I just never wanted to pay for it. I got it on the cheap, so I'm excited to finally be able to read it. I'll let you know what I think of The F- It List. And thanks! :)

  9. Grace - Awesome. I won a copy of Midnight Thief, and it's something that I wouldn't have picked up on my own. I'm still on the fence about The Kiss of Deception, but it seems like it might be something I like. I'm in a taste-test mood with books at the moment.

  10. Tuck Everlasting!!! That book has been on my mind a lot lately. I read it way back in 1996. I sadly gave away my copy. I thoroughly enjoyed that book. I seriously need to read it again. You got Lola!!! Yay now we can both read it. I'm excited to read Meant To Be also. I think these next few months are going to be awesome reading.

  11. Angie - I think I read it in like 2002 or 2003, but I really don't remember. I was jealous that my sister got to read it in sixth grade because I didn't and I was only a grade ahead of her. Like so jealous that I borrowed her school copy and read it in an hour.

And yes! I did get Lola. We should Buddy Read it and Meant to Be for the group. I've never done a Buddy Read Before. lol

  12. Welcome to Stacking the Shelves! This is my favorite meme. It's fun to look at bloggers' book hauls. I really liked Lola and Meant to Be. I haven't read any of the others, but most are on my TBR. I hope you enjoy them! :)

    1. Thank you. It's been my favorite one to look at since before I even got a blog, but I just didn't really understand it until I did a little more research.

My sister actually stole Meant to Be from me today, so it might be a bit before I get it back. I'm so ready to start Lola so I can get to Isla.
