Waiting on Wednesday (74)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly, bookish meme created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The meme helps book bloggers and readers shine a spotlight om some of the many upcoming releases that we are all patiently (but most likely impatiently) waiting on. Get it? You can find out more information on the meme on her blog, Breaking the Spine.

So you're interested in sharing some of the books you're waiting on with your readers!? That's great! To participate in Jill's meme, all you need to do is:
  • Create your own Waiting on Wednesday post that features an upcoming title (or titles)
  • Be sure to credit Jill in your post

Waiting On...

Title: Literally
Author: Lucy Keating
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: April 11, 2017

A girl realizes her life is being written for her in this unique, smart love story that is Stranger Than Fiction for fans of Stephanie Perkins.

Annabelle’s life has always been Perfect with a capital P. Then bestselling young adult author Lucy Keating announces that she’s writing a new novel—and Annabelle is the heroine.

It turns out, Annabelle is a character that Lucy Keating created. And Lucy has a plan for her.

But Annabelle doesn’t want to live a life where everything she does is already plotted out. Will she find a way to write her own story—or will Lucy Keating have the last word?

The real Lucy Keating’s delightful contemporary romance blurs the line between reality and fiction, and is the perfect follow-up for readers who loved her debut Dreamology, which SLJ called, “a sweet, quirky romance with appealing characters.”

Why I'm Waiting...

Okay... How often do we readers get to read a book about a book where the characters realize they are in a book? I was sold on this immediately! This is seriously one of the most adorable summaries I've ever seen for a book, and I cannot wait to dive into this story! It's like Inception, but with a much cuter plot!

Honestly, I've never read anything by Lucy Keating before, but I have a feeling that she just might be an author that I'll be reading in the near future, especially because of how long I have to wait for Literally
